Apples -- especially the red varieties -- always make me think of living in New England and our annual ritual of picking way more apples than we could reasonably consume. In New Hampshire, I would drive to the little orchard in the neighbouring town and open my car window a crack to allow the smell of the apples to waft in as we approached.
I painted Autumn Ritual with premium-quality acrylic paint on a 10 x 10" canvas with a 1.5" edge. It arrives ready to hang or stand on its own for display on a table. The edges of the piece were painted in the same background colours shown on the face of the painting.
